Super8-01
Super 8 is a science fiction film currently set for release in summer 2011, written and directed by filmmaker J. J. Abrams and produced by Steven Spielberg, Abrams, and Bryan Burk.

To date, Abrams has refused to reveal the plot of the film as he wishes to keep it a mystery and let the images speak for themselves. All that has been confirmed is that it will be set in 1979 and will be paying homage to Spielberg's science fiction films of the 1970s and 1980s with the mystery and supernatural feel from Abrams works. Based on the two released trailers, the plotline appears to revolve around the escape of a creature from Area 51, an event which is filmed by a group of kids with a Super 8mm camera.

The Mystery Began on...

May 7th, 2010 when a YouTube video filmed on opening night of Iron Man 2 of the teaser trailer for Super 8 was found and posted around the web.

Near the end of the trailer, a super 8 camera lens can be seen. Inside the lens, several letters can be seen moving past in a movie reel fashion. With an analysis of each frame, the letters S C A R I E S T T H I N G I E V E R S A W emerge. Analysis of the letters led to the discovery of the first viral website in the Super 8 Experience/ARG, Scariestthingieversaw.com.

Super 8 Review

I'm going to give this film 4.5/5 on the rating scale. Overall the movie was phenomenal and easily the best movie of the summer, but some moments are really predictable and clearly a homage to Spielberg's classics. Other than that, every moment made…

'Cooper' V. 'Clover'
