Sheriff Pruitt is a minor character in Super 8.
History[]
He was the head of Lillian, Ohio police force, and Deputy Lamb's boss, when he stops at a gas station, he gets captured by Cooper and taken to his lair under the watertower. When Joe and Cary go to save Alice, they find the sheriff along many others, after Joe rescues Alice they get the Sheriff down too. Pruitt tries to help lead both Joe, Alice, and an unnamed woman out of the alien's lair, When they meet up with Cary, Pruitt says that they need to get out of the cave. He is suddenly grabbed without warning by Cooper, presumably killing him.
